Portable and Affordable the Toshiba Satellite T115.

Toshiba showed off it's new Satellite laptops at CES 2010 the one that we are discussing in this review is the Toshiba Satellite T115 CULV based notebook. If your unfamiliar with CULV laptops they are basically laptops that use processors that are engineered to not use a lot of power which creates longer battery life You.

This laptop is in the under $1000 category due to it being available for a price as low as $450 and at it's peak $495. This laptop buy design and price point is targeted at casual computer users and mobile professionals.

Conclusion:

When You first see the Toshiba Satellite T115 you'll notice just how small it is, it's almost in the netbook category. Keep in mind that the T115 weighs just 3.49lbs. and has a 11-inch screen. The only thing that stops this laptop from being a netbook is the CULV processor and extra inch in screen size. The T115 is definetly portable from our tests it's battery life actually does hover around 8 hours on a full-charge.

The only problem that we noticed is the underpowered specifications. If you're looking for a laptop that will play high-defenition movies and let you play videogames don't get this laptop. The model we looked at had a Intel Pentium SU2700 processor and to be frank it just won't cut it for doing really processor intensive programs. Also to add onto the slow processor this laptop only has options for Intel GMA integrated graphics.

Aside from the slow processor and integrated graphics this is actually a nice little laptop. If your looking for a good laptop that will let you e-mail and get online on the go for under $500 this is your best bet. The price to performance ratio really good for this laptop considering that their are actually computers with less specifications that cost more.
