Business Notebook Guide
More mobility and more productivity

If you're in need of a business notebook you've already decided that it would make more sense to have a mobile office. Business notebooks are for the most part quite portable and easy to carry. However so are regular laptops but what the average laptop is missing is the durability and the little things like spill proof keyboards that come with all good business notebooks.

Also on business notebooks you get to use the professional version of Windows 7 or if you need it Windows XP mode, which is already inside Windows 7 Professional and Ultimate.
Business Notebook Specifications Check List

Fast Intel Processor - Intel is the leader when it comes to fast laptop processors. The processors you should be looking at should either be 2.4Ghz or faster Core 2 Duo or a Core i3, i5 or i7 processor. Remember that a faster processor will help speed up applications.

Plenty of Memory - The amount your system has depends on whether you are using a 32-bit or 64-bit OS. A good amount for a business laptop that isn't for 3D rendering or HD movie rendering is 2GB and it goes up to 4GB if you need more for multi-tasking.

Fast storage - Make sure your next business notebook has either a 7200RPM SATA hard drive or it uses a SSD or solid state hard drive. The solid state drive uses flash memory which can be accessed faster than if it you used disk storage.

Discrete Graphics(For some users) - Some of you looking at this might be planning on using your laptop as a 3D rendering machine or something along those lines. Like on the desktops onboard graphics just don't cut it with video or 3D work. Getting a high powered discrete card is highly recommended.

Ports Selection - You need to make sure you have enough USB, HDMI, VGA or display ports on your business notebook. If the notebook doesn't have the connection you need you need to see if there is an expansion slot where you may add the it yourself.

Wireless Connectivity - When you're doing work on your notebook that requires Internet it's good to have 802.11n or Bluetooth Wi-Fi capabilities. Sometimes notebooks have mobile broadband as well which is great.

Good Quality Display - Size is a matter of preference but having a screen that is HD and one that offers you good color representation is important especially if you're doing video or photo editing. Sizes for most business notebooks range from 12"-17".
